How to keep your Status
We want to make sure you retain your Status and continue to enjoy the benefits and privileges that go with it. That’s why we are offering to extend Status for up to a further 12 months*.
If your review date is in May 2022
All you need to do is complete at least one of the below activities by 22 May 2022 to lock in your Status. If you don’t act, then your Status will end on 1 June 2022.
If your review date is in June 2022
All you need to do is complete at least one of the below activities by 22 May 2022 to lock in your Status. If you don’t act, then your Status will end on 1 July 2022.
If your review date is from July 2022 onwards:
All you need to do is complete at least one of the below activities by 22 May 2022 to lock in your Status. If you don’t act, then your current Status will end upon your next review date. Find out your review date in your My Velocity account.
Important information: We encourage you to complete your Points earn transaction as early as possible to allow for the Points to be added to your account. Velocity Points need to be reflected in your account by 22 May 2022. For some of our partners it may take up to 5 weeks . You can visit our website to find out more about our partners.
How to lock in your Status*
Do any 1 of the following 3 activities
Fly one flight with Virgin Australia, including Virgin Australia Reward Seats booked with Points* Book and fly across the Virgin Australia Domestic and International network. You will need to complete your flight by 22 May 2022
Earn a total of 5,000 Velocity Points, transacting across any number of Velocity partners* Whether you earn Points when filling up your car at 7Eleven, earn with Flybys or earn on your next purchase via the Velocity e-Store – any transaction will count, as long as you earn a total of 5,000 Points and this needs to reflect in your MyVelocity account before 22 May 2022.
If you’re a Velocity Points earning credit card holder, earn any number of Points with your eligible card* Make a purchase on an eligible credit card, found on this page. Points need to be reflected in your MyVelocity account by 22 May 2022.
A. Any Domestic or International flight with a VA flight number operated by Virgin Australia, including Virgin Australia Reward Seats booked with your Velocity Points.
A. Yes - you need to fly on your Virgin Australia flight by 22 May 2022.
A. You need to have earned a total of at least 5,000 Points. This does not need to occur in one transaction, or with just one partner.
A. Your Points (earned with Velocity partners or via your Velocity Points-earning credit card) must be reflected in your MyVelocity account by 22 May 2022. Please note that some partners take longer than others to award Points once you have earned them (some partners take up to 5 weeks). We encourage you to complete your earn activity early, to allow ample time for the Points to be credited to your account.
A. We encourage you to submit a retrospective claim for missing Points with our partners . If your earn transaction occurred before 22 May 2022 and you submitted a retrospective claim to have those Points credited, please wait until the Points arrive in your account and then get in touch with our Membership Contact Centre so that we can assess your eligibility for the Status extension .
A. Points received from a Family Pooling arrangement or from a Points transfer from an eligible family member do not count as Points earn for this campaign.
A. We currently have limitations with our loyalty system, which means that your Status may be automatically extended. We will manually extend your Status if you take action as part of this campaign, or downgrade your Status where applicable. Your review date will be listed in our recent email about this campaign.
A. A Velocity Points-earning credit card is any of the credit cards listed on this page. With these credit cards, Velocity Points earned on your everyday spend are automatically loaded into your Velocity account each month.
A. You must earn a minimum of 5,000 Velocity Points if transferring your Points from any of the credit and charge cards listed on this page
A. If you have Family Pooling set-up and are contributing to another Velocity account, any transaction during the promotional period will not count as an eligible activity or transaction towards extending your Status.
A. If you are a family Pooling contributor and you earn a total of 5,000 Points or earn Points on an eligible credit card, you will be eligible for a status extension.
If you are a beneficiary you must personally earn 5,000 Points from transacting with our partners or earn Points on an eligible credit card, to be eligible for a status extension. Points received to your account from family Points Pooling will not count as an eligible transaction.

Terms & Conditions: * Velocity Members who are recipients of this email will be eligible for a Status extension of up to 12 months if they complete any one of the following three activities; 1) Take an Eligible Flight between 12:01AM AEST 9 March 2022 and 11:59PM AEST 22 May 2021 (the Promotion Period). An Eligible Flight is a Virgin Australia marketed and operated flight with a VA flight number that you have flown during the ‘Promotional’ Period that is eligible to earn Points and Status Credits. Virgin Australia Reward Seat flights operated by Virgin Australia are also eligible. Codeshare and Charter Flight services or any flights marketed and operated by partner airlines are not eligible for this offer. 2) Earn a total of 5,000 Velocity Points by transacting across any number of Velocity Partners in the Velocity Program. To qualify for the Status extension all 5,000 Points must be credited into your Velocity account by 22 May 2022. Depending on the Partner you transact with, there may be a difference in the time it takes for the Points being credited into your account. Please view the relevant Partner pages on our website. Points earned by being a recipient of a family Points Pooling account or Points received from a Points transfer do not count towards this offer. 3) Earn Points using your eligible Velocity Points earning Credit Card. There is no minimum number of Points which must be earned but these Points must be credited to your account by 22 of May 2022. Depending on your Credit Card statement cycle and the Credit Card Partner you transact with, there may be a difference in the time it takes for the Points being credited into your account. Please check with your Credit Card provider. Only Points earned from the Credit Cards shown on this page are deemed eligible. You must earn a minimum of 5,000 Velocity Points if transferring your Points from any of the credit and charge cards listed on this page. At the end of the offer ‘Promotional’ Period, Velocity Frequent Flyer will assess your eligibility, and if you are eligible, you will receive your Status extension in the month of your next Review Date. Your tier will be extended for a period of up to 12 months based on whether your current review date falls earlier or later in the month. This offer is not transferable and is only applicable to the recipient of this email. Eligible members for the Status Extension offer are still able to maintain or upgrade their Status to the next Status membership level in accordance with the Velocity membership Terms and Conditions.
