Velocity is proud to partner with Link Airways, a domestic airline servicing destinations in New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania from Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne (Essendon) and Sydney.

How many Velocity Points will I earn?

Earn Points per $ spent when you travel domestically in an eligible fare class operated and marketed by Link Airways (with a FC flight number¹).²

The number of Velocity Points you earn with Link Airways is based on the fare class you are traveling and dollars spent on the ticket, so the higher your fare type, the more Points you earn^{1 2}.

Important Information when flying on Link Airways:

Status Credits can not be earned on Link Airways flights.
Velocity status benefits do not apply, including Virgin Australia lounge access
Platinum, Gold and Silver members will not earn a Points Bonus.
Booking with Link Airways does not grant access to through-checked baggage. Velocity members will need to collect their checked baggage when connecting between Link Airways and Virgin Australia flights.
It is not possible to use Velocity Points to book a Reward seat on Link Airways.

Velocity Points cannot be earned on:

Any booking class other than stated in the table above will not be eligible for earning Points
Charter flight bookings
Velocity Points cannot be earned on any ancillary fees purchased in conjunction with the fare or any zero priced fares

Claim missing Points

To ensure you automatically earn Velocity Points on your eligible travel, add your Velocity membership number to your booking prior to travel. You can add your Velocity membership number when you book your flight or call the airline directly to get it added to your booking or present your My Velocity Card at check-in.
It can take up to 14 days after your flight for your Points to be added to your Account.

Flown recently and missing some Points?

If your Points have not been credited after 14 days, or if you forgot to add your Velocity membership number prior to travelling, you can submit a missing Points claim.

If your flight number starts with FC, please submit your missing Points claim by completing the missing Point claim form on the Link Airways website.

If your flight number starts with VA and is operated by Link Airways, please submit a missing Points claim form by logging into your Velocity Account and select Virgin Australia in the drop down list.

1. Earn rates are correct as at 22 August 2022 and are subject to change. Flights are governed by the operating carrier's terms and conditions, which can be viewed on the operating carrier's websites. Members travelling on Upgraded fares purchased with Points or any other subsidised means of Upgrades on Virgin Australia or our partner airlines will earn Points based on originally purchased fare classes. Check the Velocity Terms and Conditions for details about earning Points.

2. Please note that flights operated by Link Airways with a VA flight number are excluded from the above earn rate and are treated as a Virgin Australia domestic flight.
