Our partnership allows you to earn Velocity Points per $ spent when flying in an eligible fare class on eligible Link Airways operated flights with a FC or VA flight number2. Book a flight to one of Link Airways’ many domestic destinations and start earning Velocity Points.

How many Velocity Points will I earn?

Link Airways operated flight with a VA flight number for travel from 16 January 2024*

The number of Velocity Points you earn when flying on Link Airways operated flights with a VA flight number* is based on the dollars spent on the ticket, so the more dollars you spend, the more Points you earn1 . ​​​​​​

The number of Velocity Points you earn when flying on Link Airways-operated flights with a FC flight number is based on the fare class you are traveling and dollars spent on the ticket, so the higher your fare type, the more Points you earn1 2. ​​​​​​

Important Information when flying on Link Airways:

  • Status Credits cannot be earned on Link Airways operated flights with a FC flight number.

  • It is not possible to use Velocity Points to book a Reward seat on Link Airways.

  • Velocity Points cannot be earned on:

    • Any booking class other than the fare classes stated in the table above.

    • Charter flight bookings

    • Any ancillary fees purchased in conjunction with the fare or any zero priced fares.

Claim missing Points

To ensure you automatically earn Velocity Points on your eligible travel, add your Velocity membership number to your booking prior to travel. You can add your Velocity membership number when you book your flight or call the airline directly to get it added to your booking or present your My Velocity Card at check-in.
It can take up to 14 days after your flight for your Points to be added to your Account. 

Flown recently and missing some Points?

If your Points have not been credited after 14 days, or if you forgot to add your Velocity membership number prior to travelling, you can submit a missing Points claim.

Please submit your missing Points claim by completing the missing Point claim form on the Link Airways website.

 If you’re flying between Sydney and Canberra on a flight operated by Link Airways with a VA flight number, please submit a missing Points claim form by logging into your Velocity Account and select Virgin Australia in the drop down list.

Earn Status Credits with Link Airways

Earn Status Credits when you travel on Link Airways operated flights with a VA flight number. The Status Credits you earn will depend on where you fly and the fare purchased.

1. Earn rates are correct as at 16 January 2024 for routes operating as at 16 January 2024. Earn Rates are subject to change, and subject to any black out period notified at the time of booking by Velocity, Virgin Australia or Link Airways. Flights are governed by the operating carrier's terms and conditions, which can be viewed on the operating carrier's websites. Members travelling on Upgraded fares purchased with Points or any other subsidised means of Upgrades on Virgin Australia or our partner airlines will earn Points based on originally purchased fare classes.
