  • Reward Seat bookings, excluding Any Seat
  • Any fare class that is not listed above
  • Upgraded fares: Members travelling on upgraded fares that are purchased with Points, Upgrade Me Platinum Member Offer, Upgrade Me Premium Bids or using cash at the airport will earn Points based on the fare class originally purchased.
  • International Short Haul and Long Haul Flights: When flying on Virgin Australia International Short Haul or Long Haul flights and domestic flights as part of an international journey or a Virgin Australia codeshare flight, you will earn Points based on your fare class and the number of the miles flow.
    1. A codeshare flight means a Flight that is operated by one airline and marketed by another airline. For example, a flight where the Marketing Carrier is Virgin Australia, but the aircraft is operated by a different airline.
    2. Base Points refers to the minimum number of Points that can be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by a Red member.
    3. Certain fare classes may be ineligible for Points and Status Credits earn, as specified above. Various fare classes may not be available all year round and certain fare types will vary depending on the destination. Please check your itinerary is eligible to earn Points and Status Credits before completing your booking. If you are unable to determine your fare class please contact the Guest Contact Centre or your booking agent for assistance.
    • Fare classes O, R and W are eligible for Points earn when travelling on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand.
    • Fare class S, M, Q, V, N and E are eligible for Points earn when travelling on domestic connections within New Zealand on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand.
    • Fare classes T and U cannot earn Points and Status Credits when travelling on domestic connections within New Zealand on Virgin Australia codeshare services operated by Air New Zealand.
    • Members who travelled on Delta Airlines operated F and A class fares prior to 1 February 2018 will earn 1.5 Velocity Points per mile.
    • Virgin Australia operated flights sold with an Air Mauritius (MK) flight number are ineligible to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits
