From 3 September, Velocity Members will no longer be able to earn Velocity Points when joining Bupa.

Any Members who joined Bupa with a selected health insurance policy prior to or on 2 September 2019 and who remain an Eligible Customer will continue to receive their instalments of Velocity Points in accordance with the offer Terms and Conditions1.

  • Velocity members who have joined Bupa on an eligible health insurance policy by 2 September 2019 will be issued with 2 instalments of Points over a 12-month period, with the first instalment arriving in month 3 after the date the Bupa cover was taken out, and the second instalment arriving in month 12 after the date the Bupa cover was taken out. Both instalments require the Bupa cover to be valid and current at the time the Points are issued.

  • You can access the Offer only if you meet all of the following requirements:

    (i)         you are a current member of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program (a Velocity Member);

    (ii)        you are a new Bupa customer;

    (iii)       you take out a new selected Bupa health insurance policy (in accordance with clause 2 of the Terms and Conditions) between 18 July 2019 and 2 September 2019 (Campaign Period);

    (iv)       you pay your Bupa health insurance policy premiums by direct debit or payroll deduction (if available);

    (v)        you provide your Velocity Member number in the promotional code online or to a Bupa Consultant over the phone; and

    (vi)       you are an Australian Resident.

    If you meet all of the above requirements, you are an Eligible Customer.

  • Velocity Points will be issued in 2 instalments over a 12 month period, with the first instalment arriving in month 3 after the date you took out your Bupa cover and the second instalment arriving in month 12 after the date you took out your Bupa cover.

    Velocity Points Instalment 1

    If you:

    (a)       are an Eligible Customer;

    (b)       have paid your policy premiums by each due date; and

    (c)        your selected health insurance policy has not been cancelled or refunded within 2 months after the date you took it out (the Start Date),

    Velocity will issue the first instalment of Velocity Points after you have been with Bupa for 3 months.

  • If you joined Bupa on an eligible health insurance policy prior to or on 2 September 2019, please check that you have provided your Velocity Frequent Flyer number, are an Eligible customer, have paid your policy premiums by each due date, and your selected health insurance policy has not been cancelled or refunded.     Velocity Points Instalment 1

    If you are an Eligible Customer; have paid your policy premiums by each due date and your selected health insurance policy has not been cancelled or refunded within 2 months after the date you took it out (the Start Date), Velocity will issue the first instalment of Velocity Points after you have been with Bupa for 3 months.

    Velocity Points Instalment 2

    If you are an Eligible Customer, have paid your policy premiums by each due date and your selected health insurance policy has not been cancelled or refunded within 11 months after the Start Date, Velocity will issue the second instalment of Velocity Points after you have been with Bupa for 11 months.
