From 01 April 2019, Velocity Members will no longer earn Velocity Points when signing up to a Velocity Anytime Saver electricity or gas plan. Velocity Members will also no longer be able to link their Velocity Account to Energy Australia.

Any Members who are existing EnergyAustralia customers and have linked their Velocity account on or before 31 March 2019 will continue to receive anniversary Points every year until 31 March 2021 if eligible.

FAQs

  • All EnergyAustralia customers who have linked their Velocity account to their EnergyAustralia plan via My Account by 31 March 2019 will earn 2,000 Anniversary Velocity Points each year for each residential EnergyAustralia gas or electricity plan, on each service anniversary date until 31 March 2021. In order to be eligible, you must agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email and agree to pay your bills by direct debit.

  • Anniversary Points are awarded every year on the anniversary of the day that EnergyAustralia became responsible to supply you with electricity and/or gas (as applicable) under your plan. For example, if EnergyAustralia became responsible to supply you with electricity or gas on 12 October 2019, you will receive 2,000 Velocity Points within 10 business days of 12 October every consecutive year providing you stay on the residential electricity or gas plan and continue to satisfy the eligibility criteria. Please allow up to 10 business days for your Points to be awarded.

  • To earn 2,000 bonus Velocity Points for each service anniversary of your EnergyAustralia account, you must:

    • have linked your EnergyAustralia and Velocity account in your EnergyAustralia ‘My Account by 31 March 2019
    • agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email on your EA ‘My Account’ page; and
    • agree to pay your bills by direct debit on your EnergyAustralia ‘My Account’ page.
    • Have no outstanding unpaid bills
  • If you signed up to a Velocity Anytime Saver Plan or linked your EnergyAustralia and Velocity account on or before 31 March 2019 please check that you have provided your Velocity Frequent Flyer number, agreed to receive your bills and correspondence by email and agreed to pay your bills by direct debit. If you have not received your Points and have met all eligible criteria please contact 133 466.

  • Your sign up Points will be credited to your Velocity account within 10 business days after your first bill has been issued.

  • If your EnergyAustralia plan is cancelled before your first bill, the Velocity Points will not be credited to your account.

  • Yes, once you have setup your EnergyAustralia MyAccount with your new EnergyAustralia account, you will be able to link your Velocity number again by visiting MyAccount. You will only be able to link your Velocity number to your new EA account (new address as a result of moving into new premises) if you had linked your Velocity Membership number to your previous EA Account on or before 04 April 2019.

  • Your Anniversary date is the day that EnergyAustralia become responsible to supply you with electricity and/or gas (as applicable) under your plan at your new home. Anniversary Points will be allocated at each continuous 12-month anniversary of you joining EnergyAustralia until 31 March 2021, providing you stay on the residential electricity or gas plan and continue to receive your bills and correspondence by email, and pay your bills by direct debit.

  • ^ Offer for new and existing residential customers in VIC (electricity and gas), with a Velocity Frequent Flyer membership who sign up directly for the Velocity Anytime Saver electricity and/or gas service, agree to receive bills and correspondence by email and agree to pay bills by direct debit. Customers will receive 5,000 Velocity Points for an electricity service, 5,000 Velocity Points for a gas service, or 10,000 Velocity Points for both electricity and gas services. You will forfeit any Velocity Points if you cancel your Anytime Saver plan before your first bill is issued or you cancel before your anniversary date.
