Earn Points when traveling with your pet on Virgin Australia

When travelling with a cat or dog on a Virgin Australia domestic flight, you will earn a minimum of 300 Points per pet carrier for each flight sector flown1 on top of your normal Virgin Australia Point earn rate. The number of Velocity Points you earn when flying your pet is based on your Velocity membership status2.

1. Points will not be earned for unaccompanied pets, the international transportation of pets, or Service dogs that travel in the cabin of the Virgin Australia flight. Points will be awarded for a maximum of two pet carriers per booking. Pets will be carried in accordance with the member Terms and Conditions. Points will be credited to the member travelling with the pet within 14 days after completion of travel.
2. Points bonuses are earned in addition to the base Points earned. Base Points means the minimum number of Points which would be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by all members, irrespective of Velocity membership level.

4. Members earn a standard rate of 3 Velocity Points per $1 spent on premiums paid during the first year of the policy, regardless of payment frequency. Existing policy holders are ineligible to earn Points and can only earn Points upon policy renewal.
