General Partnership
1This relationship in Australia is between Velocity Frequent Flyer Pty Ltd and Flybuys a registered trademark of Loyalty Pacific Pty Ltd. It does not apply to the Flybuys Programme in New Zealand.
To be eligible to earn Velocity Status Credits or transfer Flybuys points to Velocity, a member of the Flybuys household must link to a Velocity membership. Visit partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/ to link your accounts. Only one Velocity membership can be linked to a Flybuys household at any one time. To turn on Auto Transfer, the full name and date of birth on your Flybuys household account and linked Velocity membership must match. You can de-link or manage your linked accounts at any time at partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/.
Once linked, Flybuys points earned by the household can be manually transferred to the linked Velocity account by any member of the Flybuys household. Visit https://experience.flybuys.com.au/rewards/travel/velocity-transfer to manually transfer your Flybuys points. Or, you can turn on Auto Transfer to have your Flybuys points automatically transferred to Velocity, including your entire existing Flybuys points balance. Visit partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/ to turn on Auto Transfer. You can turn off Auto Transfer at any time and will still be able to manually transfer your Flybuys points to Velocity. From 1 November 2020, the annual transfer limit has been removed, meaning there’s no limit to the amount of Flybuys points you can transfer to Velocity, meaning there’s no limit to the amount of Flybuys points you can transfer to Velocity. Once Flybuys points have been redeemed for Velocity Points they can’t be returned to your Flybuys account.
As a linked member you can also earn Status Credits when you scan your Flybuys card on eligible purchases with participating Flybuys partners. Status Credit earn rate is based on spend from the day your accounts are linked. Please allow up to two weeks after the end of each calendar month for your Status Credits to be credited. The Velocity account linked to the Flybuys household as at the end of a calendar month will be awarded the Status Credits. No retrospective claims for Status Credits will be accepted at any time, even in instances where due to technology malfunctions eligible spend is unable to be added to the Flybuys household account. Status Credits will not appear on your Flybuys statement; log in to your Velocity account to view your total Status Credit balance. Velocity members also need to fly on Virgin Australia marketed flights to earn Eligible Sectors in addition to Status Credits to upgrade or maintain a new level of membership, for more information visit https://experience.velocityfrequentflyer.com/the-basics/status.
Members who have selected family pooling will have their Velocity Points and Status Credits pooled from Contributing Accounts to the Beneficiary account.

Transfer:
2If you’ve linked your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to your Flybuys household account, you can choose to manually transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points at a time to receive 500 Velocity Points per 1,000 Flybuys points transferred to Velocity. Or, you can turn on Auto Transfer and if you choose to do this, your entire existing Flybuys points balance (to the highest multiple of 1,000 Flybuys points) will be automatically transferred to your linked Velocity account, and every 1,000 Flybuys points you subsequently collect will be automatically transferred into 500 Velocity Points. From 1 November 2020, the annual transfer limit has been removed, meaning there’s no limit to the amount of Flybuys points you can transfer to Velocity. Only one Velocity membership can be linked to a Flybuys household at any one time. To turn on Auto Transfer, the full name and date of birth on your Flybuys household account and linked Velocity membership must match. Please allow up to 48 hours for Velocity Points to be credited to your linked Velocity account and for your Flybuys points balance to be updated. 3Fuel:
Up to 12 points per litre terms and conditions
You can collect up to 12 points per litre on your fuel transactions each month by combining the 8 points per litre offer on your Coles fuel discount docket with the 4 points per litre fuel accelerator offer, valid from Mon 1 Feb until Mon 31 May, 2021. These offers can be used separately or together. See below for details on each offer.
4 points per litre fuel accelerator offer
The 4 points per litre fuel accelerator offer is valid at Shell Coles Express and only available to Flybuys members who (1) present their Flybuys card and (2) have switched their fuel offer preference to “POINTS” (instead of “CENTS”) in their Flybuys settings via Flybuys.com.au or the Flybuys app and (3) meet both of the following thresholds (Accelerator Offer Thresholds) within a calendar month:
a) member must purchase at least 80 litres of fuel (excl. LPG) during the calendar month AND
b) member must spend at least $10 in store at Shell Coles Express during the calendar month
Qualifying fuel purchase and in store spend can be made in one or multiple transactions during the calendar month. For the fuel purchase threshold, purchases exclude LPG. For the in store Shell Coles Express $10 transaction threshold, eligible in store purchases means purchases made in Shell Coles Express Convenience stores excluding the purchase of Fuel, Tobacco and Tobacco related products, Gift Cards, Mobile Phone, Recharge, Calling Cards, AdBlue, Trailer Hire and Lottery (Eligible Instore Purchases). If the Accelerator Offer Thresholds are met within a calendar month, all fuel (excluding LPG) purchases (including transactions that occurred before the date the Accelerator Offer Thresholds were met) made at Shell Coles Express within that calendar month where the fuel offer preference is set to “POINTS”, will qualify for 4 points per litre. If at any time during the calendar month your fuel offer preference is set to “CENTS”, the transactions made while set to “CENTS” will not count towards the fuel or shop thresholds. There is no limit to how many Accelerator Offer points a member can collect however there is a fuel purchase limit of 150 litres maximum per transaction in one vehicle and approved containers only.
On the first day of each calendar month, the member’s progress towards the Accelerator Offer Thresholds will reset. Progress towards the Accelerator Offer Thresholds can be monitored on the Flybuys app in the ‘My Fuel’ section available on Android devices on 1 Feb and iOS devices by 15 Feb. Points collected from the 4 points per litre fuel accelerator offer will appear in qualifying members’ accounts within 48 hours of the member achieving their fuel and spend thresholds. Points for subsequent transactions made in that qualifying month will appear in the members’ account within 48 hours of the transaction. This offer excludes Adblue, Fleet Card, Shell Card, Motorcharge and Motorpass purchases.
8 points per litre with Coles fuel discount docket
The ‘8 points per litre’ offer is valid at Shell Coles Express when you (1) scan your Flybuys card, (2) hand over a valid ‘4 cents or 8 points’ per litre Coles fuel discount docket and (3) have fuel offer set to “POINTS” instead of “CENTS” within your Flybuys settings prior to the fuel transaction. The Coles fuel discount docket is printed on your receipt when you spend $30 or more in one transaction in-store at Coles Supermarkets (excludes Coles Online and purchases of all gift cards, iTunes cards, charity items/donations, tobacco and tobacco related products). There is a limit of 1 Coles fuel discount docket per fuel purchase of up to 150L, per vehicle, per customer. Your fuel offer settings can be updated at Flybuys.com.au or via the Flybuys app. If “CENTS” is selected as the preferred fuel offer in the settings on the Flybuys account at the time of purchase, the Shell Coles Express 4c/l fuel discount will be awarded as default and points will not be collected in respect of that fuel transaction. The selection of either “CENTS or “POINTS” will apply to all fuel offers available and to all members under that specific Flybuys account. A member can switch their fuel offer preference at any time during the calendar month, and the reward they will receive in respect of each fuel transaction will depend on the fuel offer preference as at the time of the fuel transaction. The 8 points per litre offer can be redeemed multiple times, provided a valid Coles fuel discount docket and Flybuys card are presented each time. This offer excludes Adblue, Fleet Card, Shell Card, Motorcharge and Motorpass purchases. The valid Coles fuel discount docket can only be redeemed once and copies of the Coles fuel discount docket will not be accepted. The Coles fuel discount docket must be surrendered upon redemption. Coles fuel discount dockets that have been defaced, damaged or altered, or have passed their expiry date, are not valid for any fuel offer.
Status Credit Earn:
4To qualify for the Velocity Frequent Flyer Triple Status Credits offer, you must have linked your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to your Flybuys household account and set your Auto Transfer preference to ‘On’ during the promotion period between 1 December 2020 and 31 January 2021. Once Auto Transfer is turned on, it must remain turned on for the duration of the promotion period, during which you can earn Triple (3) Velocity Status Credits per $100 (including GST) spent in total across Coles, Coles Online, Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market when you scan your Flybuys card at the time of purchase, up to a maximum of 30 Status Credits per calendar month during the promotion period. The Triple Status Credit earn rate is based on spend from the day you turn on Auto Transfer and members who have turned off Auto Transfer will no longer be eligible for the Triple Status Credits offer. Please allow up to two weeks after 31 January 2021 for all Status Credits earned during the promotion period to be credited. Standard Status Credit earn rate outside of the promotion period and for linked members who have their Auto Transfer preference set to ‘Off’, is one (1) Status Credit per $100 (including GST) spent each calendar month in total across Coles, Coles Online, Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market when you scan your Flybuys card at the time of purchase, up to a maximum of 10 Status Credits per calendar month. Standard Status Credit earn rate is based on spend from the day your accounts are linked. Please allow up to two weeks after the end of each calendar month for your Standard Status Credits to be credited.
Spend excludes the purchase of gift cards, tobacco, tobacco related products, charity donations and delivery/service fees. Status Credits will be credited to the linked Velocity account as at the end of each calendar month. No part Status Credits will be allocated, only whole Status Credits per $100 spend. Any Status Credits earned during the Promotion Period are subject to expiry after 12 months from earn. No retrospective claims for Status Credits will be accepted at any time, even in instances where due to technology malfunctions eligible spend is unable to be added to the Flybuys household account. 8Platinum members are entitled to four complimentary fare upgrades per year from a Freedom fare to a Business Class seat on Domestic, Trans Tasman or International Short Haul flights marketed and operated by Virgin Australia.
