Book a hotel stay directly with one of our hotel partners below and earn up to 3 Velocity Points per $1 of eligible spend.
To earn Velocity Points, simply add your Velocity membership number at the time of booking or upon hotel check-in.
To be eligible to earn Points, be sure to book your hotel stay directly with our hotel partner on their website, mobile app, or via their contact centre.1
When booking directly with hotel partners, Velocity Points cannot be earned when:
- Booking online through most third-party websites, including online travel agents such as booking.com, hotels.com, or any other unauthorised travel agent.
- If in doubt, contact our hotel partner to confirm if your preferred method of booking is eligible to earn Velocity Points.
Transfer your hotel loyalty points into Velocity Points
If you are a member of a loyalty program of one of our hotel partners below, you can convert your hotel loyalty points into Velocity Points in a few simple steps.
To earn hotel loyalty points, be sure to add your hotel program loyalty membership number at the time of booking.
To be eligible to earn hotel loyalty points be sure to book your hotel stay directly with our hotel partner on their website, mobile app, or via their contact centre.

Complimentary Partner Membership is available with either IHG One Rewards or Hilton Honors. Once you have selected Complimentary Partner Membership with either IHG One Rewards or Hilton Honors, you are unable to change this selection or obtain a further Complimentary Partner Membership with the alternate partner. The benefit is available once only and your new level of membership with your chosen program will last for 1 year from date of activation. 1Direct Hotel Partners Terms and Conditions:
These are general Terms and Conditions for Velocity Point earn on direct hotel partners. Individual Terms and Conditions apply for each individual hotel partner. These can be found on the Direct Earn Hotel Partner page. Members will earn Velocity Points with direct earn hotel partners on eligible/qualifying stays. All exclusions, qualifying/eligible stays and qualifying/eligible room rates are outlined in the individual partner Terms and Conditions. A Qualifying Stay is one or more consecutive nights at the same hotel, whether you check in or out more than once, at the hotel’s Qualifying Room Rates (generally the standard rate, not a discounted or group rate). Qualifying Room Rates generally do not include promotional rates, wholesale packages, conference rates and group tour rates, employee discount rates, rates booked through third party web sites offering discounted 'distressed' inventory or 'last minute' accommodation deals, Member benefits discount rate and award or discount certificates, free or complimentary hotel stays, special rates offered through travel agencies, special rates offered to airline crew, airline employees, travel agent employees, Hotel employees or other industry discount rates. For Accor and International InterContinental Hotels Group members must switch on automatic conversion of their hotel loyalty points to Velocity Points to be eligible to earn Velocity Points. This can be done online in the account settings of your membership with the respective partner. For all other hotel partners, members must book direct with the hotel partner and include their Velocity Membership number in their booking. All hotel stays are governed by the individual hotels’ Terms and Conditions; please refer to the individual hotels’ website for full terms and conditions. Check the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions for details about earning Velocity Points with hotel partners. Please allow up to 8 weeks for Points to be allocated to your Velocity Account. Please ensure the name on the Velocity Account provided matches the name under which the hotel booking is made in order to earn Points for your stay. 2Transfer Hotel Partner Terms and Conditions:
These are general Terms and Conditions for hotel reward point transfer to Velocity Points. For full details on points transfers, including eligibility criteria, minimum points transfer and applicable conversion rates see Transfer Hotel Points into Velocity Points page. The earning and redemption of Partner points is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Partner reward program. Once Partner points have been redeemed for Velocity Points, they are governed by the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions and cannot be reversed. Transferred Velocity Points will be available in your Velocity Account subject to the applicable Partner points transfer timeframes. All exclusions, qualifying/eligible stays and qualifying/eligible room rates are outlined in the individual partner Terms and Conditions. All hotel stays are governed by the individual hotels’ Terms and Conditions; please refer to the individual hotels’ website for full terms and conditions. Check the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions for details about transferring hotel reward points to Velocity Points. Please allow up to 8 weeks for Points to be allocated to your Velocity Account after each transfer. Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn or redeem Points for hotel stays via Rocket Travel Hotels. All bookings made through this platform are subject to Rocket Travel terms and conditions.
* Earning Points on Hotels
Standard Velocity Points earn rate is 3 Points per $1 spent on all hotels booked.
Velocity Members must submit their valid Velocity Member number at the time of booking to be eligible to earn Velocity Points.
- For Pre-Paid Hotel bookings, Points are awarded after stay and are awarded up to 2-3 weeks after checkout.
- For bookings made via Rocket Travel where payment is made directly with the Hotel, Points are awarded up to 4-6 weeks after checkout.
Points earn is not available on cancelled bookings.
Only one Velocity member per booking is eligible to earn points.
Points cannot be earned on redemption bookings made with Points or a combination of Points plus pay
Points are only earned on the nightly rate for the hotel room. Points cannot be earned on additional costs, such as in-room charges, early check-in, late check-out and upgrades.
^ Redeeming Points on Hotels
You must be a Velocity Member to redeem Points for hotel stays
Please ensure the passport or photo-id presented on check-in matches the guest’s name you indicate when you confirm your booking.
Please ensure you review the cancellation policy attached to your reservation as these vary, and in some cases include non-refundable, non-changeable reservations. You may be entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law in certain circumstances. If your booking qualifies for a refund, the total number of Points used for the booking can be refunded. Partial refunds of Points are not available.
The minimum Points required to redeem a hotel stay via Rocket Travel Hotels is 2,000 Velocity Points.
Points cannot be earned on redemption bookings made with Points or a combination of Points plus pay
The actual Points required vary depending on the hotel, room type, rate type, time of booking and date for which the booking is made. Redemption levels are subject to change at the discretion of Velocity Frequent Flyer.
You can use your Points to cover a partial amount or the full amount of the hotel room rate including taxes and surcharges. Additional costs, such as in-room charges, early check-in, late check-out and upgrades are not included and must be paid directly to the hotel.
